The Senator Borno North Senatorial District, and Chairman Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights, and Legal Matters, Sen. Mohammed Tahir Monguno, Esq and his colleague from Borno Central Senatorial District, Sen. Kaka Shehu Lawan, Esq attended the flagging off of the 2024 Law Week organized by the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Maiduguri / Biu Branches.
The program was scheduled to be held throughout the week, and today stands as day one with a theme; ‘BUILDING BACK BORNO THROUGH THE LENSES OF LEGAL LEGAL PRACTICE FOR PEACE AND DEVELOPMENT.’
Sen. Monguno in his goodwill message said “In a nutshell, a lawyer’s responsibility is to provide legal advice and representation to their clients, negotiate settlements, draft legal documents, conduct legal research, advocate for their clients, maintain client confidentiality, and keep clients informed.”
Therefore, Sen. Monguno urged all his professional colleagues within and outside the state to be guided and resilience while discharging their obligations with a view to cope with today’s program theme.
